Last tax season I wrote about my own experience with Identity Theft,  I went to file my tax returns online, only to find that someone had beat me to it, and had already filed using my Social Security Number.  What transpired that day was a nightmare. By the end of the day, however, I had learned a lot and passed on helpful tips via my blog.  I just learned about IdentityTheft.gov. The site offers an easy to follow step-by-step plan in reporting and recovering from Identity Theft, and is easier then most government other sites to follow.  In reviewing the site, it provides you with the information I learned over an aggravating 48 hours. And the best part? You don't have to wait on a telephone queue for someone that will never answer.
